We offer 5 key accredited short courses which are free for Your Caring Way participants.

Skills for Success: Career Planning
This accredited course will equip you with the tools to create your own goals, identify strategies and develop a plan to help you find your dream career sooner. You will be guided by an experienced trainer and build life-long skills you can draw on well into the future to help you succeed.
Skills for Success: Communication & Interview Skills
Elevate your ‘Communication & Interview Skills' with this course. Discover valuable tips to confidently express yourself, navigate hard questions, and leave a positive impression, in-person and online. Join us to improve teamwork and interview skills and boost your career prospects.
Skills for Success: Digital Literacy
In this course, you'll develop essential skills for confidently navigating the digital space. You'll learn about online collaboration, the basics of digital literacy in the workplace, and how to efficiently use key programs such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom, along with other handy shortcuts.
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Gain essential skills and knowledge to provide swift first aid response and life support. This course also includes HLATID009 Provide CPR. This course is blended with self-paced online learning and face-to-face training. Currently offered in Brisbane (future locations to be announced).
HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication
Learn foundational skills in safe medication administration, duty of care, and classification across diverse healthcare sectors, mainly community services. HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication is a blended course with in-person practical training at our Lutwhyche, Brisbane office.

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Would you like to work in aged care or community settings? We can assist you with our Certificate III qualification, which includes experienced trainers and on-the-job training to get you there.
CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services
This comprehensive Certificate IV can lead you to a fulfilling career in community services. You'll gain valuable knowledge and skills in health, family support, welfare, child protection, and more.

Finding Your Caring Way program was a game changer for me because the program's purpose is to support people in the same situation as me. I received not only valuable information on various pathways but also individual assistance to complete it, such as improving my resume and finding suitable positions and training possibilities.
The first thing we spoke about was my strengths and I didn’t think I knew how to do anything. I now work in a day options program, I run a music and karaoke group and cooking classes. I plan to keep working part-time. I also have plans to travel overseas every year. I can actually see that now, I can actually do that.

I did the courses through Your Caring Way which will help me enormously in my business. By understanding carers’ needs, and being flexible in how they deliver support, the Your Caring Way program is a much needed service to carers.
I owe so much to the Your Caring Way program, they helped give me independence from my caring role, helped my sense of identity and being, they helped give me my confidence back after being out of the workforce for several years due to my caring role. The support of this program to find stable, suitable employment, and now I’m stable doing what I love in disability support.
I don’t think I had a resume since I was at school, 30 odd years ago. Seeing it all on paper it sort of whacked me in the face to go, wow, I have done so much and have done nothing with it.
