Anyone at any time can become a carer.

Carers come from all walks of life and life stages. They are mothers, fathers, children, sisters, brothers, partners, relatives, and friends.

Across Australia, 2.7 million people provide unpaid care for a family member or friend.

However, it’s estimated that up to 79 percent don’t identify as a carer.

If you provide unpaid care and support to family members or friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness or who are frail aged, you are a carer.

Carers need care too

Carers are almost twice as likely to be under-employed as other Australians and more likely to experience financial stress and lower levels of physical and mental wellbeing.

Therefore, it is essential that you receive effective support and recognition for your caring role.

Our program seeks to support carers and improve their financial security, education, and health and wellbeing.

We are here to support you, encourage you and equip you with every step towards achieving your goals.
